Its your money do what you want. Just make sure you talk with the guys about your budget for help when you have money in hand and ready to buy parts. Not everyone knows everything but you have a good group of guys here with alot of knowledge that can help you out. If I where you though I would stick with the 302 vs the 351. Just build the one you have to stand up to anything. You have a good platform to start with..
I have a build planned for my car but not sure what power adder I am going to use yet. I was going to stroke my block ect but I think I am going to try to just put forge internals and do a rebuild on what I have. I still havent set down with my budget yet to decide to build a NOS, turbo or S/c motor yet. I am waiting as I told you till I have my money in hand to buy my parts. I figure If I just forge the block I have it will be cheaper in long run the stroking and machine work ect. I will still make good power. Just plan well

Yeah, well, I just want to do something big, call it a need to stoke my ego or whatever, I want a bad ass sounding car, and I like the sound of the 351w. I will calculate my expenses, by the way, does anybody know if Coast High Performance is any good?

No clue on the shop and when running open headers....any moter sounds good. Just dont know what 351 you have heard that sounded so good!!!!!
Lol, maybe my hearing is going from listening to loud music with my dad for so long.

He says that it is Total Peformance built, with forged rods and pistons, but with a cast crank.
Yes it is balanced to 28oz, and includes the flywheel and balancer, and he says the pan and pickup are in working order.

It looks ok but you still need to have someone knowedgeable inspect it with you. Pull a main cap and look at the bearings along with the cylinder walls. Plus a 347 will keep cost down all around. Won't need new headers motor mounts or intake for starters.

excuses excuses. I had like 3 project cars in 3 different garages a year ago and nobody showed up, not even you who is supposed to be my right arm. you could have at least helped me jack the car up a few times for crying out loud. Not to mention, Emilio who lived like two houses down, spent 99 % time reading car magazines and jerking off. And then he moved two blocks down and decided to spend most of his time playing with his kids electric go karts trying to make them faster.
