Remember to do all the basics first.
1) Pull plugs and make certain they are clean.
2) Clean the rotor tip and the cap spark points.
3) Fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank
4) One tank of 104+ high octane booster (assists in cleaning injectors)
All of these minor details will make a huge difference.

Good Luck and have fun

of course. last time i was home i changed all the plugs and wires so thats done. i just hope the brakes are still good cause when i tried to replace em on my truck i kept finding more and more wrong with em so opefully it will be an easier fix on the stang. im pretty siked to finally test it out. and maybe try again to get my folks to sell it. lol

Good luck on the purchase. The old fox bodies are a lot of fun to play with. As for the brakes....Buy a parachute....LOL

i know the feeling. when i did the rears on my mustang i discovered a leaking axle seal, which lead us to sludge for rear end fluid and a chewed up spyder gears in my diff. fun times huh

my dad took a peek at the brakes and there are none. so he's been using the hand brake. i told him to not drive it till i come home and see if i can fix it. i dont want him to screw it up. lol and he will if hes anything like me with a car that has power. lol

I would seafoam it.... change cap, rotor and spark plug wires, those all go bad with age! drain fuel tank, You dont want to run any of that 8 year old gas, it can destroy your fuel system and that will cost a pretty penny...

i already syphond the tank and and added stabilizer to the new fuel to offset the little the syphon couldnt get.
