adding boost juice to the fun.....

well i got the car tonight, Dante tuned me up on his mustang dyno and the base was at 352 RWHP and 342 RWTQ with 9 LBS of boost, timing was at 14* and the avg A/F was 11.9(RET TUNE), this was just my current set up. When he set the a/f which by the way was set at 11.5 for the final tune, the car got 300 hp to the wheels with 12* of timing, when he set up the meth it made 300 again and it ran rich because the methanol. After letting it cool down for a bit and adjusting the a/f the car made 321 rwhp, i know what you guys are thinking.... the mustang dyno has a bit more load on it and he made my tune a bit safer for me. The only issue there was he didn't install my pulley, he wanted to get the base water/meth tune down and then do the 10 lb pulley, so im gonna call him next week about the pulley. He told me that i could get more power if i install the smaller meth injector so i already did that when i got.

Remember a Mustang Dyno is going to read lower number but, more accurate for tuning.. By the looks of it you are making more that your previous tune. Very nice numbers:)

I feels great i think this tune is dialed in good and it has a deeper tone in the exhaust, he said today when he started the car it was missing so he fixed that and laid the 352 down on his dyno, the car made 355 this last summer on on a dyno jet and that makes me wonder if it was missing even back then..... well im very happy.

so after spending over a grand you have the same HP and you are happy? I'm confused, please explain wtf is going on here. What did the car make after the pulley, meth and tune??

Did he state that somewhere and I missed it? Or did you talk to him? Is that before or after the intake blew off? LOL!

no, the first dyno run he did was 352 with my RET tune, the 404 he is getting is the number that could be if this was a dyno jet, the intake blew off after he made the tune and he ran it with out the meth. He probably dynoed it atleast 4 to 5 times before he was done. The 321 that i got could easily be more, the vortech was spitting out 160 degree temps on the last two runs. Dante didn't add the pulley but the meth did produce results, the car is making more power then it origanally did anyways, remember my tune on RET's dyno put down 355 on a dyno jet, then 340 on JBA's dyno, and then 352 on the mustang dyno. He wanted to tune it more concervitave just to be safe. IF i were to recalculate the 321 that it made and had the same exact conditions it could put down 370 on a dyno jet. But i will prove how well the car runs when i go to barona on the 3rd od april, any one down?

wait a minute, 355 on a dyno jet then 352 on a mustang dyno... how is your 321 on a mustang dyno going to make 370 n a dyno jet???

does your car have alot of miles or something... I dont see a ounce of gain from the mods done.... sounds like you did a meth injection when all you needed was a tune....

im not talking **** but your mods and numbers just dont make sense??????

i have seen a ton of people make the power you are to the wheels with bolt ons and a tune... I think they are going way to conservative on your tune...

alright let me explain this, my numbers last summer were the 355 on 7 lbs of boost, on friday after dante fixed the "missing" that was engine was experiencing, he got the car to put down 352 on 9 lbs of boost, the mustang dyno is more conservitive then the dyno jet is, it adds in more load and calculates drag on the car when dynoing it. The dyno jet will avergage 15% more the the mustang dyno. so, 321x.15=48.15 then add the 321+48=269 on a dyno jet. My RET tune was more aggresive then this tune, but for some reason the car wasn't making full power until dante fixed it. I'm gonna get dante to extract the diablo tune next week and load it back on to my predator so i can sell it and get an xcal so i can add some timing when i go to the track. The car feels great the way it is, well see how well it runs when i take to the track on the 3rd. bottom line, this is a concervative tune.

. bottom line, this is a concervative tune.

Why does everyone keep saying this S H I T !? That is what everyone says when the #'s are lower than expected. Anyway.............

I'm still F-ing confused. So the car is fully tuned with your new mods i.e. boost juice,
10lb pulley?

Also WTF is the TQ# who gives a flyin F*** about the HP without the Tq!? Hello McFly!!!

I have always been told to add 15% to a dyno number... what the hell is the point of looking at dyno numbers then... and if the mustang dyno applys and load then i would think it was more accurate... sounds like everyone likes the dyno jet becuase of the bigger numbers... I guess your right 02Gt... i want to see the E.T. from this thing..

he said trq was like 340 i think before.... he is saying HP numbers because its a boosted SOHC... they make more HP then trq... I just dont get it... i have seen Mach 1 4valves on 8 and 9 PSI making 400 Plus wheel horse power.... I think those SOHC heads just dont flow for ****!

I agree about the #'s lets see it at the track, but I would have thought there would be more of a definitive difference with those mods and a good tune.

I'm still wondering how the hell an intake blows off and you still finish tuning! WTF? LOL!

this is the original tune, dante gave me a less agressive tune, the 321 rwhp and 329 rwtq is with 8 lbs of boost and water/meth injection. The air/fuel is set to 11.5 and 12 degrees of timing.

this is my base line tune. note: 11.9 to 1 A/F ratio 14 degrees of timing. this is RET's tune.
