I am going to Q with my truck. Still haven't got parts installed on the GT500, so I am going to wait to go to next event at Barona and hopefully hit 6's. To tired to drive all those back roads at night to Barona. Besides, someone needs to keep all the imports grounded in reality with the new Fast Furious movie coming out today.
And I want to see what improvements they have done to the "New" program and track.
It's a much easier drive for me to go to the Q. Who knows, maybe I will win another trophy for the truck, with 3 so far.

Well had a good time tonight at Barona. I was frustrated from the start cause the day just started bad. I had to take my car to JBA to get my locks all cut off my car. I have the roush luggs so everyone was locking. So I had to change luggs thanks to a missplaced key. ( good news JBA sells NOS now) While there they topped off my NOS. I thought what the hell I got the M/T with me throw them on I will drive to track on them so I am not waisting more time. THEY WOULDNT CLEAR MY BRAKES! I was so mad. The spacers someone told me to buy wouldnt work. So it was a lost cause. While in there paying and BS with the guys there one of the guys goes hey we have we have a old set on shelf pulls it out of his secret STash lol. So I am in business. They where even some nice billet ones compared to the cheap made in china ones I had.
Well at the track I was feeling good got there late but now I have right spacers bottle topped off. ( THIS WAS FIRST TIME ON SLICKS) Well so I dropp pressure to 12PSI and make my first pass it felt loose but I heardthat is expected from slicks. I ran a 8.9 backed up by a second pass of 9.0 I was getting disaointed. I blame it on my in expirence with the tires though. Iwas trying to get the launch down and some of the 60's where 2.2 LOL We also had alot of time to wait between runs and it was cold as hell. So my next pass i melted the tires do to a guy with street tires pulling water all the way up the line. Ok so they get ready to run funny cars so they take a brake and we wait again. They prepped the trac a little and a few of my buddies from work wanted to take some rides. Most of the racers are going home now because its about 10:30 and cold. Now I start getting some back t back runs and not waiting. So I line up with my buddy and pull a 8.3 ith a 1.8 60ft. Then I ran a 8.1 with 1.7 60ft. I wish I coud say that I ran a 7 but not going to lie to you guys. The track was cold. My last run I ran a 8.1 with a 1.7 60ft at 92 MPH. My last few runs where my best do to getting to run back to back and keeping tires warm. Not bad for first outing with the new tires. I had a good time!

Phil what size tires do you have?
better question is what did you launch at? Did you heat up the tires or did you do a gay street tire like burnout?
me and a bunch of socal stangs were at the Q racin
I know you are lying because socal stangs doesn't race their cars, lol.
i know thats usually the case but out of the 15 ppl there 9 of them were racing
