I think that Orange is the perfect fit for VP. He will keep the club concentrated on racing and maintain the roots that started this organization years ago. Me, I'll be leaving in 2010 and then taking over as President of the Florida chapter for WickedStangs. Dont worry, I'm not using anyone in partiular as a mentor..LMAO!!!

I'm going to bump this up. The club is attempting to put a board together to try and take some weight off of our Presidents shoulders. The maintenance of the website, race car and club events is overtasking our fearless leader and he needs our help. Take a look at the the different positions available under the San Diego, CA, chapter and see if you could contribute. This club has gone from 6 members to hundreds nationwide is just one year, help us to keep WickedStangs on track and make us the premier club in San Diego and around the United States. JOIN IN and GET ER DONE!!!

Hey are all the polls closed or what? I just got back and trying to catch up with all the posts. I dont have anything agains anyone in the club but I think the vice pres is someone who has been around for a while and will be here in future. I think CWO and orange are both good nominations. The thing is as Todd said he will be leaving and moving on to start his own chapter. Just my two cents... I think all of the members that have been around for a while and that are deployed should have a vote or a Rep of the other members. beejay, and henry are not around ( lately) but I think they should have a equal part in the board. What do you guys think about votes for the older members

well it is unfortunate about that, but I know BJ posted on many of the polls while he was underway and I think Henry did too. I am not saying that you are wrong about giving people who werent here the ability to vote, but if we held off the vote until everyone was here, we would never have the vote done. Everyone seems to understand that CWO is taking the VP position and making sure that it is full up and operating for when he turns it over in about a year or so. That way the position gets started right and is then turned over to someone that can take an already running program. Most all the hard part which CWO has a plan for will be done by that time.....in other words the next guy will have alot less work and will be able to spend more time improving an already existing position.

BTW: Just a thought that the different positions should not ll be voted on at the same time again. I think that they should be every other month starting in January 2010....that way, you ave some overlap all the time. The VP should be voted on in Feb timeframe so that Emilio, CWO, and several other key positions can give the new one a great turnover and stuff.......Jut my .02..........

I agree just dont want to leave older members out of loop

It's up to those "older" members (I suspect that means people with more tenure) to keep themselves in the loop.
Besides, do you have any idea how many "older" members were asked if the wanted to be on the board and said HELL NO?
Do you know of how many of those who would consider being on the board actually have the time or ability?

The polls were open for nominations and voting for a lengthy period and everything was done above board.

NO ONE was or will be "left out of the loop".

But.....if people don't check in often enough, they WILL get left out of the loop!
