i dontthink they put that reader on the number 1 plug wire. thats how it reads torque. they used a 50:1 gear to read it. i think that is why it was so high. and i may be wrong.

yeah dude, 360hp and 420tq, stupidest dyno numbers ive ever heard. horsepower drops 20, torque goes up almost 50. no way no how.

and your car almost jumped off the dyno. the back wheels were sideways on the front rollers. maybe if they had strapped them down they would have gotten a better reading.

the plug wire doesnt matter. any of them will do, just measures when it fires. now the 50:1 may have been a problem, plus there was a giant load they put on it. notice how the cars would rev up and just stay at one rpm and then continue after like 5 seconds. the load changes readings. on dynomites when we were checking for detonation we put a 2% load and my car cranked out 350hp and 400+tq.

So mine was right about where is should be.....I was 259 the first run and 257 the second.....Good to hear mine was about right......Just for the record that was done on the Dyno that is now owned by Dynomite tuning......Hmmm maybe their dyno is ok.

I dyno my car at ret and dynomite the numbers where off by a couple so they are pretty close.

I have to agree with BeeJay. Many of the cars were jumping off of the Dyno that day and all the numbers were way off. The lower HP cars seem to have more accurate numbers.

Unfortunately, JBA is the only Dyno I've been on so I can not compare. I think my numbers are about right, but I'll have to hit RET for a real tune and get it checked out once my exhaust is complete.

Sounds good to me, I would like to get my car tuned too. How about next weekend?

Alright guys just to set the record straight.. Some numbers at the dyno at JBA were correct and some were way off. The strapping of the vehicle played an important part. There Dyno is accurate accept for the strapping of the car.. If you were to look closely some cars were spinning on the front rollers and some on the rear rollers which cause some in accuracy of the runs. Please this was an event that was put on by JBA which we are happy they allowed. No trash talking them. We would like to have more events right. Next time go and dyno alone. In order for them to get so many cars dynoed in a day was to not strap all of them down. Remember some did get strapped down.

I know with the fat azz the TBSS has it did not move off the rollers.....maybe that is why its numbers were not far off.....only about 10-15 above expected.......

That would explain why the lower HP cars were putting numbers down that were just about right....
