anyway i have a sct live wire that i bought for a 02 gt but now i have a 03 termy and i was wondering if i could use that tuner instead having to buy another tuner. i never registered it, i just used it to change tire sizes and gears. could i still use it?

it doesnt work

i had an sct livewire that i used in my cobra and wanted to use it on the roush but whenever i woukd try to use it there was no stock tune so it wouldnt stre the roush tune.

in fact it would make it where the car wouldnt start i would have to disconnect the battery to reset the comp in order to dtart the car.

so i sold my live wire and lost fricken 300 bucks doing so the tuner was 3 months old

pissed me off

Because the SCT tuner has a way to make sure the files pass a validation check.

I can tune your car with another program. Just not SCT.

Either that or a local tuner.

One local tuner (Dante) said that he could write a custom tune and leave all the user adjustable parameters open so I cold make minute changes to things like timing, gears, wheel size, etc (all the things you would NORMALLY be able to change) and that he would put my Whipple tune in the XCAL (in case I ever wanted to revert back to it).

This leads me to "believe" that you can flash your ECM with a tune and SWAP PLACES with the Whipple tune as if it were the "stock" tune. How would the XCAL know if the tune being replaced is factory or not?

Does it even care?

As long as it is not married to another car.

All livewires are the same. They are just Dashpac PCs. The tune is what matters. You can use the device but i have to write you termi tunes.

Yeah you shouldnt run stock timing with nitrous. Plus there are other things that need to be tuned to stay safe.

A lot of tuners don't touch nitrous because there are inevitable issues with it, like back fires. But i personally run a 175 shot on my GT. 431rwhp/560rwtq.

I just got done tuning ADMBMB56's tuner. This is a real offer here guys. I'm not kidding. I would like to see a few more of you take advantage of this.

Tunes I gave ADMBMB56:

91 Octane Street
91 Octane w/ 70mm TB
Race Gas Only tune

All of the tunes are unlocked and fully adjustable! He can do whatever he wants with it.

If you were to buy those same tunes from another company like Brenspeed, you would have spent $225. I will even send out nitrous and turbo/super tunes for free to you guys for a limited time.

You run a 175 shot on your s197? Wow I thought a 100 was kinda high lol. Do you know if your air/fuel is safe? Send me a pm about a nos tune right now I have one from bamachips

100hp shot is not high at all, I can barely feel one that small now that my butt dyno adjusted. You can run 150 shot with no problems either, just have to be tuned.

I don't think Nitrous is a mod for everyone, because when in the hands of the incapable it can be the worst thing imaginable, and there are a lot of people who say "I can handle it", and they can't. Being responsible means BEING RESPONSIBLE.

I have not had any issues in my S197 with a 175hp shot, but I also have an upgraded clutch. Stock clutch wouldn't hold the extra 250rwtq from that big of a shot.

Yes my AFRs are safe, I dyno tuned it myself and I wouldnt trust anyone else to tune my own car.

I had issues with your XCal2 not recognizing drivers, so you might be getting an upgrade to an Xcal3 if I can't get that figured out. I have the tunes I mentioned on an XCal3 ready to go, I'd rather put them on your XCal2 obviously, so I'm still trying to get those drivers to recognize.

That's totally okay..take your time. I got pulled into work again, so obviously I didn't get to call you...sorry about that. But as for what you mentioned, those tunes sound perfect! Thanks so much for your time!

Holy crap!!! I absolutely love the tune!!! :D It took me a little bit to get the program to work, because I kept getting a "missing mscoree.dll" error. It turned out I had to download something called the .Net Framework and voila!!! It magically worked! I drove the car with the tune for the first time today and I enjoyed every minute of it! It shifts a lot more agressively. Downshifts more noticeably as I came to a stop. And it accelerates a whole lot faster, and smoother. Thanks again Madular Muscle! You guys are awesome!!!
