Well after another compression test and new spark plugs my compression finally went back up. A shop up north (AED) said that it was probably just because there was corrosion built up on the old plugs. Anyways i also stuck a borescope down into the cylinder and the piston looks PERFECT so i should be good.

Anyways friday when i got home from no dues i got a couple more parts in. My spare supercharger, a 2.76 upper and a 4 lbs lower. i also swindled a Diablo sport chip from Turbo Joe the altinater underdrive pulley and a belt. So i was wondering if anyone wants to help me try to port my extra eaton. with those pullies i will be pushing about 18 lbs of boost so i need to run a ported supercharger and i dont wanna pay a billion dollars for a Steggy.

wait a minute... isn't that a bad idea to run the 4 lb lower with th 2.76 upper.. we were talking about this at the cruise night no??? you said something about needing a bigger MAF..

I'm always down to help with a go fast parts... as long as it doesnt interfer with my money making cobra motor removal and replace...

Glad to hear your motor is not a boat anchor Chris LOL!! I dont know much about porting myself. Buy a custom made lower intake and run both blowers at once LOL!!

I knew it wasn't. there is an articale i have in a magazine i will show you at the barbq... it shows you what to port and what kind of power to expect...

one thing to add though... once you port the blower you will loss low end but pick up big end.. the article i have tells you all about it.

My stage 5 + from STEGGY made my numbers. I have heard of people porting them themselves and loosing power. Some have made power but they know exactly what they are doing..... I didnt want to take the risk.

I am just saying. They still fetch for 400 to higher and I know with me porting it I would just wasted the money. It is not just that Steggy ports them. They completely rebuild them too so your not throwing a hunk of crap on your engine. That is the peace of mind that I had and why I bought mine from them.

Andy. Yeah if you throw a 2.76 upper and a 4 pound lower on a stock Eaton with a stock MAF and you will more than likely blow your motor. But that is why i want to use a ported blower.

every one is warning me about the maf though because it will pretty much be pegged out and getting a bigger would alow for more tuning or something. Plus i will be pushing something around 18psi so hopefully the engine lasts (for awhile)

dremel. its 1/4" thick aluminum. The only thing that worries me is one of the dudes i work with was saying that shops like stegy have everything blueprinted and air tested or something. They were saying that if we got an uneven flow of air or something it could totally screw something up. Let me do a little more research and then we will go from there.

Ill bring the spare blower to the bbq this friday and show you though.
