well yesterday i managed to pick up my fuel system from ups!! i ordered it in the middle of last week, overnighted it, and still hadnt recieved it yesterday so i called and bit*ched at them and picked it up myself!! all the way down in chula vista!!

so now as far as ive gotten with it, is getting the old tank off and getting the new tank ready to put on. but i have a question/ concern.........

i have about a quarter of a tank of gas i think, sitting in my garage... i was gonna put it in the new tank, but when i pulled the hat off, a bunch of sand and dirt flew in there,,,, and honestly i just dont think its worth gumming up my new filter so i need to dispose of it!!! so my question is, how do you go about disposing of gasoline??? properly!!!!

I wil just get a strainer and use it . The type they use for painting should work well. Or just keep it in a 5 gallon jug for lawn mower/other uses.

If you want to dispose of it, just take it to the landfill, they have a hazardous disposable waste there. Not sure where the one is in your area, but you could look it up online or the phone book.

i emptied mine at my drain in the front of my driveway. Gas evaporates fast. You dont see drag strips shutting the track down if someone has a gas leak. Its normally evaporates before the next run. They just check to make sure its gas, first. LOL

well, the cars not done,,, but most importantly its in running/ tuning order!!!

the only problems that i currently have are:

one, the car wont start,,, im not too woried about this just yet,, my batterie was roasted, so im charging it, and after alot of thinking i realized that i never pluged in the ignition timong sensor, so there wasnt even any spark!! im an idiot, but hell, its alwayse the small things that bite ya!!!

and two, the throttle cable seems to be all the sudden a few inches long,,, this one im kinda woried about just because, im not sure why or how all the sudden i have zero tension on the peddle!! no wories though, it was about 1000 last night when i was trying to solve this problem, and i was in the dark, obviously!! so today ill get my charged battery and fix the cable and start again!!

im insanely excited, i think that my cars actually gonna be runnin by the time the meeting comes around this week,,,, i schedualed to have it tuned with dante on monday so hopefully, nothing hangs me up!! more updates will be coming soon,,, especialy if she starts!!!

if you keep having all these oil leaks, i dont know, maybe your running too much boost? just throwing it out there man.

doubt it. he hasn't even got it running on the street yet. just idle. if its a leak at idle then its most likely valve cover leak. the heads are on correctly i know that much lol
