Important Race Car Meeting

I don't think I can make it sunday, and I know Emilio values my vote, but I only want things to continue so that the end product is something the whole club can enjoy. I loved the idea of this 4.6L project because it sets us apart, and if it were easy, it wouldn't be as unique as it is. I believe we have done so much of the hard work already (acquiring and installing hydroboost, setting up engine mounts, finding exhaust manifolds that work, working out tranny mounts, radiator, intake, etc, etc) that finishing this is just getting up the energy and the push to finish the wiring. It was said earlier that the wiring took the wind out of our sails, and that is true, because it is something none of us know much about. But it can be done, and giving up and throwing in a 5.0 may be the prudent answer, but I don't think it is the one that will bring the recognition and uniqueness that this club conveys. I will not be angry or resentful if we don't use my donation, I just am hoping that it can still be worked out despite the setbacks.

I know it has been seen by many that I have withdrawn from the project, and that is unfortunately because my underway schedule limits my time so much that I cannot work through the drama that has arisen lately. I will help as much as I can, and I continue to hope that we can get OUR beauty flying down the track as quickly as possible.

I have the kids today the wife is out of town. I will be over after my couch arrives. I think that we should stay with the 4.6 push to get the wiring done and add the bottle to the car. This is going to be are best bang for the buck. Well Not to piss anyone off but I have a 3 vlv with a hundred shot and I can keep up with or beat a few of the club cars with a hundred shot vs. there S/chargers. Theis 4.6 will make good power with NOS and probaly once thing little stuff is worked through it will be pretty quick with the right couple of drivers in the seat.
The next thing we should do is build a motor for stand by in case something happens to the 4.6. This started as a fun project for the club to get a chance to get together once and a while when we have no events ect and wrench on a car. We are right there if we have to get it in a shop and have them wire the thing if that is what is stopping us. I think everyone has made some good points.
We could sell the engine we have now and build a nice 302 ect but it will put us behind because now we have to wait to build motor.
The 302 would have been better from start. I think lets just go with what we have add a bottle and have fun!!! Maybe the 351 swap to Igottav-8's car will help us out in future if we can get our hands on his 302 to slide into the fenders later in time. JUST MY 2 CENTS

To add my .02 into this deal, the main problem I see is the wiring harness. Another alternative to this problem is why do you need a wiring harness.. to run a PCM and Injectors? why not bypass this problem and go with a Carb setup to start with on a 302 or 351 then work on the main engine that will be FI. The carb setup will be cheaper and easier to tune, saving money and time while you guys get the main power plant built. If it's a pure track car who cares if it's smog legal and registered as an off road vehicle, It'll be on the track and running. That's my opinion.
