Lightning vs Late model GT

BadBullitt

Old Guys Rule!
Well,I was driving the Lightning today just minding my own business .While leaving Parkway Plaza heading west on Fletcher Parkway a black Mustang with a hood scoop flys by.He was weaving in and out of traffic and I finally caught up with him at the stoplight at the top of the hill. The light changed and we both took off hard (I did forget to turn my a/c off) and we were dead even the whole way ! Damn I was dissapointed.I NEED MORE POWER !

Smaller pulley and tune??????

I called Dante yesterday and talked to him.He recommended a #4 pulley,a custom fabricated cold air intake and a tune .The price seemed kinda steep at $1300 but he says it's satisfaction guaranteed or he'll return it to stock and a full refund. What do you guys think ?

1300 reasons not to........kind of steep in my book but that might be a good price.

The biggest reason is hiding it from the wife .She wants to know when I'm going to start modding her car.I should tell her to get a damn job !

Sounds about right

-Lightweight Aluminum Mounting Hub
-14mm Hex Head Tool
-Converter Lock-Up Tool
-Allen Bolt Hardware
-Proper Sized Goodyear Gatoback Belt $300

-SCT XCal3 Tuner $300
-NGK TR6 Spark Plugs (Recommended when Adding Boost) $40
-160 or 180 Degree Thermostat $25

(Custom Tuning is around 300 and up)

And a Cold Air System $200

Sounds about right..

That's ok dad, I beat an SN-95 5.0 on my way home. It was pretty close so he had some stuff done to it. But I got him anyways.

I am deployed every since we picked up Dante as a sponser and im not sure if hes the same guy my father talked to about his lightning. He is in National city right? Anyway he told my dad for a pulley and tune (including tuner) it would be 800. Dads lightning already has a johnny lighting CAI. Guaranteed is work to him as well.

Just put a 100 hp shot of nitrous on it. My friend went from mid 13's to 11.60 in his (using slicks). Lots cheaper too..

id say pulley, tune, intake, and exhaust will get you about 400 to 425 and be putting the law down on some cars...:)

in all honesty, on the L, the intake and exhaust are of very little benefit other than sound.
with a 6lb lower, and a good tune he will be right around 400hp and 500 ft/lbs. I would add a Dante built valve body to that recipe for a helluva truck.

the problem with that, the power isnt there all the time. with a pulley and tune its there, every time you stop on the go pedal
