ok, so i narrowed it down and i think this is the suv im gonna buy for the family. its the lincol aviator. kinda like the explorer, but much nicer, ad it has a 4v 4.6 and 3rd row seating

That thing will kill you in gas mileage.

it gets 14/19, so yeah, bad mileage, but it has everything i need. except 4wd.

That is not bad for a SUV....you should be able to tow the fox with it too.....on a trailer

We looked at the Explorers but we wanted some options that the SS came with.

The Aviator had all that brushed aluminum dash and stuff....to Blingy for my taste. They are very nice though. We looked at one at Car Max...It was a good price and a nice SUV. The thing with a used Aviator is most likely it was owned by someone that took care of it....you know the people with money.

Here is a 06 Explorer with the 6spd.....only hit is 31K on the odometer.....Nice SUV though.....

The 06's came with the 6spd Auto instead of 5spd. It also has the 3 Valve I believe. I could not tell if it had 3rd row or not....

KM Ford had this one last time I was there, it is good. just alot of miles.

the only thing i hate is the door panels on the 06. there was only the lower handle and i hate it. in 07 the fixed the problem.

I try....... They will deal though. They came down like 3500 in a few minutes on that truck. If I remember they wanted like 22 at the time.....May timeframe.

One of the guys I work with has a nice suv like this but kills him on gas. His is creame with leather and just put 22's on it.. Its very nice but a little much for my taste. I rather have a f 150 4 door 4x4

i like f150's, but again i need 7 seats. i will probably get an explorer. not 06 unless they change the door panels for me...lol, with a 4.0L and 3 rows, leather and 4WD. its the smart way to go.

but hey what if someone were to get the aviator and throw a KB on it and full exhaust. would that be cool or what. not that im going to or anything...lol

That why we have a mini van lol. ITs good on gas, 6 speed trans, dvd players for kids, and comfort on long trips. If you need to haul something for most part it will fit in van or go on roof rack. We have the dodge with fold away seating. The only thin I hate is the payment. I wish I would have kept the other van and bought either a economy car for work or a f150 4 door. I think I may find a bug or something to mess around with a drive back and forth. Maybe that was would appreciate stang more.

i dont know...mini vans are nice inside and have come a long way in the last 10 years, but i still could never bring myself to drive one.

and hybrids are a waste of money...nothing special about them. you get 5 more mpg, but pay 10k more....
