sorry the kid races on slicks. thats what happens when you put 5k under your hood and 600 bucks under your car. buy better tires buddy. besides i still turn 8.40s and 8.50s on my drag radials.

Well i finally got some clean runs in this morning at barona. I made four passes in about two hours. The place was pretty much desolate but to say the least i got a best 8.598 at 83.5 MPH with 1.98 60'. It was pretty hot today up there sp maybe she'll do better when it's cooler out. I was getting really bad wheel hop with all of my launches, i think if i get some slicks or bigger tires that will cut down the 60' dematicly.
On a another note i met a guy named Dennis, he was running an beauitful 86' GT with some good mods, he is selling an 86' Saleen, he gave me his number and i think im going to take some pics of it this next week. He is it selling the car for 10,000. He said the car is in great shape. I gave him the wickedstangs website so he can check it out, i said i would try and help him get the word out about his saleen. To say the least really nice guy though.

That is a good 60 ft I never get anything lower than 2.0 Maybe I would say go wider and adjust your pinion angle

i also make a lot more power man and on drag radials i spin the whole way down. thus the slicks. best on drs was like an 8.40 . i cant give it any gas im pedaling the whole way down. i know i know, everyone pedals but trust me its different. not to mention i dont have much of a sidewall on my nittos. 315/35/17.

Just an FYI, you only need adjustable uppers to adjust your pinion angle.

Yeah i was breaking loose in second gear on all of my runs too, so who knows maybe the 8.5 could of been better. Before i was considering new cobra wheels but i think it would be way better if i got some weld prostars and some 275/60/ 15 ET streets. THat would look mean as hell and make my 60 foots qicker.

yeah first all the way to third i have to pedal it. cant floor it in any gear. thats why i only get 8.40s i could prolly run an 8 flat at barona, prolly deep 7s with slicks. a lot of these n/a guys dont understand the difference with their traction problems to a blown cars traction nightmare.

When you gonna get your car fixed? For sure you'll run 7's with what you got now, it's just that there would be a chance that an axle will brake. The guy that i talked to with the built 302 fox, he was running a set ET street slicks, he was busting out 1.7 60' and was doing 8.4's, he told me that he was make 300 Horses at the wheels. So i would say if you set you suspensioon up good, lighten up your car and do a good burn out yes you'll hit sevens. Look at my 60 foots compared to the Q and barona 2.3 to a 1.9... you'll hit 7's.

Nitrous isn't all that bad but i think there is alot of risk obviously. I think if you run one or the other then what ever but if run both then that is kind of cheating IMO

that was just a movie. you think a 9 sec charger would roll around with those rims?? no way. big and littles baby. roll cage, something. ive seen the car they actually used in that movie and the blower was plastic. nothing was real in that movie.
