wait, a cobra motor for a 302??

very very very bad idea!!!

your gonna put a lot of money into just getting it to work, and lose power and torque, and on top of that,,, your motor is one of the best motors ever put out by ford!!! yes its a modular,,, yes its a pain in the ass to work on!!! yes the 302 is strong, and yes its a good motor as well, but there is really no justafication in this!!! trust me i was thinking about doing the same thing,,, then decided against it!!! there is a lot of money involved!!!

no it wouldnt, not if you built it right!!! but im really not thinking you have a concept of how much it takes to transition from modular to push rod!!! not worth it dude!!! im telling you, not even close!!! just build a modular, youll make more power, and wont spend nearly as much money!!! and if you dont beleive me, start pricing things out,,, first thing youll need is a new front end you can start there,,, dont forget the new fuel system, drive train, and electrical system!!! start with these parts, track them down price them, add them up and then do the same w building up a teskid, or even romeo!!!

Wrong again. You can get more power from a pushrod then from a 4.6. Do your research before you throw out bad info!!!

Have you seen a modular put out 4000HP?

But the conversion is still not the best way to go....Bad Idea.

ok,,, w the same money,,,, he would take that money andput it into a conversian,, and end up w less power than he has now!!! as opposed to taking that money and in the end having more power than hed have after the conversian if he puts that money into his modular!!! so instead of using money to build a motor hes using the moeny to replace a basic modular w a basic pushrod!!! this is what im trying to say,,, i know that you can get some stupid numbers out of a push rod, im not saying you cant!!! but if he re directs that money then hell be making good numbers w a modular and save himself the pain!!!
