Just when we thought that there were enough factory Modded Mustangs available, Roush brings us the*427R. You won’t hear us complaining, quite the opposite actually because the 2008 427R Trak Pak*looks to be a great race car that we’ll be seeing on the track against Saleen’s Parnelli Jones Mustang.
Many unique changes were made to the 427R, based on the Stage III. Roush felt that*the engine was sufficient enough to stay, spinning the rollers at 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque thanks to the 4.6L mill.
The 427R*receives an updated grille and radiator heat sheilds to help improve the cooling system. Vented six piston front calipers with 14 in. slotted rotors*that help the driver stop the vehicle fast when needed. Along with a front-shock tower brace, the package adds adjustable front and rear shocks, springs, stabilization bars and camber/caster plates. Eighteen-inch forged-alloy wheels are fitted with “high performance” tires of undisclosed specification. A*new suspension package was designed for specifically for track competition; along with*a new adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing, white gauges, carbon fiber dash trim, and window louvers. They also thought to administer the 427R’s front fascia and chin spoiler.

Production is expected to be right at 100 units, priced at*about $58,245 bones apiece and will likely be available for purchase this summer. Might want to jump on this one if you like the twisties, Roush claims this is their best handling Mustang ever.
