PapaTom's 90 SSP Notch 347 thread ***ON THE ROAD NOW***

Wednesday morning the build officially begins. I will be dropping off the 302 with my engine builder in Anaheim CA. I will be dropping in a 347 with Scat crank, Keith Black pistons, Scat rods and hopefully AFR heads. While I wait for the engine to be put together, I will be posting pics of other stuff I will be working on and adding/modifying.

Last week was the Momo steering wheel, for which I still have to get the leather conditioned.

Today was 2001 17" SVT Cobra wheels to prepare for the 5 lug swap.

Actually, it did pass smog two days ago! I was shocked, since I had a very fouled up plug in #8, and everytime I lay into the accelerator, I get a puff of smoke out the back. Thats what prompted me to build the new block.

As far as it being a daily driver, I'm going to build it street and smog legal. I still have other cars I can rotate through while this is being built.

Tranny, drive shaft and exhuast are out. I got a late start today at 4pm.

Engine components and mounts are all disconnected except for the fuel lines.

Will be done removing tomorrow and dropping off at the engine shop.

google it... there is a bout a half a dozen street legal 347 builds man... really the way to go is run the AFR 165 heads.. 50 state legal with a 347 stroker.... do a little porting and your done! I would go with the systemax intake... cant wait to see this car done...

Yeah, we went to Costco on Market St this afternoon. Amazingly, they were still in the bed when we came back to the truck. LOL!

Received the Momo shifter

Received a better/cleaner GT40 Cobra intake to replace the fugly one I have with the bad black spray paint.

Ford blue was the first thing I asked for LOL!


Today, I picked this up.....


They need a fresh paint touch up. I'm probably sending out a few parts for powder coating. They might go in as well. If I don't do the powder coating, I'll just repaint them.
