looking good man. Doing great taking pics. LOL oh and you are doing ok with the swap too. LMAO, Im just kidding..............................Great job. I wanna see the times after eveythings done. Are you getting it dyno tuned first. I drove for almost a year without a custom dyno tune. And took it down the 1/4 mile without a tune and rev limiter at 5800 and ran a 8.6 and 13.1. Cant wait to see your times.

Heads are on the car BUT

im at a stand still for the moment. my dumb ass used the NPI cam cap bolts and bottomed them out not realizing they were just at a CM longer than the PI cam cap bolts.

Broke one off in the lower half tower right under the brake booster...

so i get to remove the brake booster and hope i can get enough room to drill it out and easy out it. otherwise i'm removing the head. atleast its not the drivers side.

if all else fails i'll just install a heli coil

I would pull the head and expose the bolt and take it out with a pipe wrench or vice grips. Drilling should be a last resort. You have to wait for the right bolts anyway, so you mind as well pull the head and do it the right way. It sucks, but you will be glad you did when you're all done.

the bolt is below the deck of the cam cap tower so drilling is required wait one. i'll post pictures. its blurry but it lets you see whats up.

hope fully an easy out will do the trick.

the only thing i'm worried about is the fact that i dont have the correct bolts for one of the heads. i do have a set of hardend bolts but they are napa bolts. and i dont know how well they will take holding cams down.

the fact that thebolts were longer than the PI's explains why it was sorta tough to get them down farther however. after it got past where the PI bolts were laying the threads were more coarse causing resistance and eventually bottomed out

just buy them from ford for like an 02 gt. Or whatever year your pi heads are from. I had to take a lot of trips to parts dept at the dealership for small parts. It'll nickel and dime you to death. LOL Its NEVER as easy as your planned.

they do but the full set is 240 bucks. ( if i do one side i'm doing both ya know? )

imma call dante and see if he has a dead head that doesn't need the parts any more ( hopefully some one blew the hell out of a head or something. ) all the trucks came with the heads i have so it shouldn't be much of an issue i hope.

the bolts i used were from the NPI so they bottomed out. the head is at motor works ( shop in dante's little area ) getting the bolt removed because the easy out broke. Dante cut me a nice little deal on the head bolts so all thats left is some small stuff and getting the head back.

well imma go clean up the garage a little and recollect all my tools and organize some **** again
Peace out folks

got the head back. dante hooked me up with a full set of cam cap bolts, he had bags and bags of em from people that had brought in heads for swapping and other such things ( mostly dead heads that couldn't be reused )
