imma take it to have it tuned before it see's a track but im gonna try to have it ready I would love to see a 9.0 or quicker out of it. but in its current state its got Slight trouble idling. but i think it was just the ecu flipping out because i needed to add more water to the system i need to get it out and drive it a bit a few times around the block to ensure that nothing is up and also ensure ALL tools are totally out of the engine bay.

Also have a small issue with the second coolant temp sensor, its plugged in but it isnt actually installed. PI mani only has one spot. so im gonna look for an option to install it some where

so can you just tap the wires for the sensor that is installed!! that way you get a reading and your ecu gets a reading!!

ill call you about a time to come down today,,, if you still need it!!

you have to tap in to the side that it was installed on the non pi. It has a place. Its easy to tap. Just go borrow the right size tap from autozone. Have to pay for it, Then they'll give you your refund. They have tham as loaner tools.

that intake manifold....your having problems with it? it was recalled because of the plastic. should be replaced with one that has metal coolant passages. check with a ford dealer about getting it replaced

ATL i have a plastic crossover manifold. yes i know they crack. my car is a 98 and i cant get it swapped from ford. they'd look at my car like i was crazy for even driving in.

I have a NON Pi mani witn metal cross over but of course we all know... Npi... fuk that.

So currently my options are do the T pipe thing. or drill and tap the thermostat neck

Ears Buddy tell me you have that thread ;)

i thought the plastic crossover was non PI and only for 96-98. in 99 they went to metal. i know i had a plastic non pi on my 96 that broke. after i bought one at the junkyard for 80 bucks i learned that ford would replace them for free

3/8ths npt is larger than half inch so thats fine. but ya. just need a steady hand and the tap and i'm good as golden. i dont like driving with a sensor ziptied to the intake...

ill have to listen when i get home. I cant wait to see the power curve and dyno sheets. When you having it tuned? I know i had to wait a while before i had mine tuned bc of money, lol. You may have to tell the tuner to move the idle up 100 or 150 rpms to get to idle smooth if its like mine. I think stock idle is 750, but my cams require like 850 or 900 idle so it'll stay running

i tried turning up the idle with the tuner to 850 but the damn thing still tries to die on me occasionally it will drop to 550 and hop up to 1500 then try to settle around 950 but any lower than that and the the car WILL die.

Putting the car on the dyno at Dante's on friday. hoping for 280 hp to the wheels. i f not thats fine its still well more power than it was before the swap.

i'm amazed at my self. the valve covers do not leak... its been over 50 miles . i went over the car today and found a couple bolts that loosend up but i caught it all in time so nothing fell out or any thing like that.

i fixed my power steering/coil pack bracket issue ( i used 8 bolts instead of the stock 6 studs/2 bolts ) and that caused me to hold that bracket in with one stud, went and grabbed a longer bolt and i was all good to go. it really needs 2-3 washers between the bracket but i'll get those tomorrow. its a bitch to get at and i dont want to drive another 20 miles ( round trip ) to napa today to go get them.

I have school at 6 so as of 5 pm i head out there.

Wish me luck. i'll have vids of the dyno tune.
