hahaha...military organization...HAHA. doesnt exist. so....weve been up since yesterday at 0600 working. it is now 1055 and we jsut found out there is a storm comming in and the birds wont make it in to get us, so we left at 0200 this morning to get here and set up ready for them for nothing....they said "well we'll jsut try it again tomorrow" why we leave at 0200 on a 30 minute drive to arrive 6 hours before our birds get here i will never know. one more night i guess

hahaha, so we tried today and about 30 minutes into the flight we turned around because of another sandstorm...so were back sitting again. maybe the 3rd time will work

okay, so a quick update before i leave again tonight to head somewhere else. we all know about the boats clash with the submarine. since then we went to bahrain and now i am sitting in qatar. the same base that got attacked in the movie transformers. its crazy, ive gotten to see a few places they used in the movie. the big computer room for example. it was aweome. from an operational standpoint i feel like shooting myself in the head (not serious, dont call the chaplain on me) this whole deployment blows and we are doing nothing. we leave tonight to head to another country to support operations, or sit around and do nothing, then its back to the death star (boxer) and on to more exciting nothing. this is the kind of **** that makes people get out of the military. i am usually motivated as hell, and now i just dont give a damn. good thing the website is still here to keep me sane.

Hang in there BJ. There is always a lot of "Hurry up and wait" in the military, that should be the motto. But just stay mentally sharp, because all hell can break loose in any moment and you need to be prepare for that. Don't want you to get hurt because of all your mundane/down time. Stay UP so we'll see you and play when you get back.

yeah, i know what your saying. so...check this out. we flew out of qatar on a navy c130 and mid flight all 4 engines cut off. it got silent in there and the earth got closer. luckily about 10 secs later they got 3 of them back running again. FLY NAVY!!! haha, i almost died. well, anyway, right now i am in the nicest hotel i have ever seen. its bigger than my old house, 3br, 2bth, hotel, crazy. and i am hoping were here long enough so i can watch the f1 champoinship live in 2 weeks. that would be sweet. oh and on top of that we get 130 bucks a day perdiem. SWEET!!!

Sweet BJ! Sometimes being in the military has its moment of terror but there are times it has it benefits. Looks like you got a taste of each in one day. Take some pictures of your room if you can. Are you in Dubai or you're not allow to say?

Bahrain was nice when I was there 18 years ago. I bet its that much nicer now. The base was just a bunch of trailers and temp shacks then. LOL!!!!

the base still sucks....but were in a nice ass hotel out in town. and were working out of an airbase about 30 mins south

so, boxer went back down south to take care of some ****....looks like im gonna be here for about a month or 2 living in this sweet ass hotel and making a lot of money. 130/day. SWEET

wow subs, i think you are the only one paying attn to this post...lol. so, the deathstar was on the news huh. yeah, it was supposed to pick us of on friday, but they got called down again to **** up some skinnies. hope they get some. til then we will sit around waisting tax payer money and doing nothing for a month...lol
