PM for Decals
Since this car is not my specialty, I thought I'd do best by reaching out to you SN95 guys with a question about tires and fitment.
I have a lady friend with a blue 01 Bullitt (the rarest color) and she will soon be due for tires. She has chrome 17x8 Bullitts with 245/45/17s all around. This is the stock wheel size and works great for those who like to rotate their tires every oil change and maximize tire wear.
This next tire purchase, she wants to go with the staggered look as best she can on the stock wheels. She bought the chrome Bullitts replacing her painted Bullitts, so she wants to continue on the same wheels.
My question to you who are in the know, what's the fattest meat she can go all around without rubbing issues?
The best I can figure is 275/40/17s in the rear although it's recommended they be mounted on a rim at least 9 inches wide instead of her 8 inch rims. And 255/40/17s in the front.
Or would it be better to go 255 all around?
What's the best combo, safest and without issues of rubbing while turning, rubbing fenders, etc. The car is stock ride height, no lowering.
Thanks in advance!
Tim
