Well got the news today that I am my commands nominee for a 325 day IA to Iraq. It would be working with a counter IED team. I know some are imbedded with Army and Marine units throughout the country so it might not be an easy IA. I guess they get a name from all the CSCS sites and then pick 1. Well at least I have like 1 out of 10 odds. I have not told the family yet as it is Christmas time and the wifes B-day is New Years Eve. I would be gone in March if I get selected. Thanks for listening.

Not really excited but I will do it if they pick me. I am on shore duty and did not expect to be going over there. Kinda upsets the idea of getting off of sea duty. But hey I would be able to afford some cool toys for the car in that time.

make a shit load of money...just watch out. when i was there....they would set up mock IED's in plain sight and then other ones around them that are hidden. when you go to secure the area around the one you see...BOOM!!!

Yep those are the ones....trucks with convoys and some are with specific units I guess. It is hard to find any info about it. It would actually be saving Soldiers and Marines lives by jamming that stuff.
