there is actually a lot of cars that will pwn a mustang. and a lot of them are ricers, imports and euros. whats the average gt make? 220fox, 260sn95 and 300 for the gt? 300 wrx/sti 330evo, a 240sx with a little work done, not even touching european cars. your average bmw sedan could run a stock mustang. we raced a 745 on our bikes the other day and didnt shake it till about 160. any car can be fast with money man. im not defending the morons with civics equipped with fart tips and tachs, im just saying dont be niave.

oh ok let me get a little more specific. 03-04 COBRAS are king of the road. dollar for dollar lb for lb, best bang from a stang.

A 335 is likely a driver's race. The 5 class and 7 class are too heavy. The M3, M5, and M6 are way beyond the average stang and even heavily modded stang could easily lose to M5/M6 so that part of your argument is true.
The 240sx needs more than "a little work" to beat a stang. Don't foget the oldest Fox bodies weighed less than 2600 pounds. I am not a big fan of SN95 generation more for their weak heads. I like the New Edge generation and obviously think a lot of the S197 generation. Go get a Termie and you'll think differently about those cars you mentioned. A little forced induction goes a long way in a V8.

sorry man i totally disagree. ive seen a stock evo run an 8.50 to 8.70. new blackstallion on street tires before nos and **** ran high 8s so there is that. and so what if its forced induction. you gonna buy a 4.6 or a 5.4 cobra say you cant compare to a like priced import because it has forced induction? its a 2.0liter to a 4.6 or a 5.4 is going to be there argument.
take away forced induction, sorry bro, the f-body stock for stock is faster. if you want to compare naturally aspirated v8s. my buddys ta has a tune, heads, cams and exhaust and makes 447rwhp. my blown gt on a race tune barely breaks 400. im just being realistic man.
on a tune, pulleys and cai, 30hp?i doubt it. not saying it isnt possible just that it isnt common. someone post a dyno sheet with 330rwhp with a cai, pulleys and tune, with NOTHING else and i will take it back.
an m3 will beat a new edge, so will an m5 and as far as the bigger cars, i raced a 7series alpine on my bike, my bike. and from 100-160 he didnt get shook by my boys cbr rc-51 until about 160. i lost him around 140 and i was a little behind but dude, that 7 series, heavy or not is insane fast. probably just as fast as my blown gt. and ive got a decent amount of work done.
i know all about forced induction, ive got a 9lb kenne bell set up on mine. especially a 2v mustang, if you dont have forced induction your a small fish in a big pond.
i love stangs as much as the next guys. but guys who cant "keep **** in perspective" that run around in mildly bolted on stangs thinking they can take on the world is why a lot of people think mustangs are a joke. cause they dont race me, or yosemidy, or vp, or emilio or people with serious cars. they race young guys who just got their car and are a little over zealous. they beat the young guy because his car is a project thats just starting and because of all the trash that young guy talks, they stereotype us all. my car is fast, my car is real fast, and i still try to keep trash talking to minimum, try to stay underrated if im planning to race, and pick my fights wisely.

well what ever you guys do dont race a white evo 8 with no badges and brass nuckles over the third brake light 
thats my buddies and with his 2.1L bullet proof everything 25 lbs of boost on pump put near 700 lol as for the 335i id biturbo aka twin and has been detuned by bmw because it made more the the m3 it had forged everything and get bad ass gas mileage. id like to see a any bolt on stang besides the termy race a bolt on SS or WS6 tell me how it goes lol the saying is true no replacement for displacement. but if all else fails just engage the "PIT" maneuver if they begin to pull and slam them into the wall FTW. my car aint fast in the straight but lets talk corners if you dont have a pwer adder u aint gonna be winnin too much on the street....... what might give GT's and up run for their moneys? STi/EVO but not stock......srt 4? forget it any of the SRT8;s will beat any stang that isnt a termy or gt500 or has a pwr adder any M bmw will def give u a run for da moneys and get good gas mileage same with any audi S or RS but all in all we all know 96-98 slowbra's are the best
