WICKED STANGS 1st ANNUAL PALOMAR MOUNTAIN RUN

WHO:
Wicked Stangs Members Only!

WHEN:
July 19th, 2008

WHERE:
Starting at DYNOMITE TUNING

TIME:

1200 - Meet and Greet
1225 - Line Up Cars
1230 – Roll Out

INFORMATION:

This route is a dangerous road. There are a lot of motorcycles that drive this road to the limit, and at times cross the center divide when diving through the turns. If you have children or a full car for this it is highly recommended that you stay with the slower group of cars. We will be forming up the cars before leaving Dynomite tuning. The people that want to drive the fastest will be in the front. We will need to stay together as a group until we turn onto S7 from the 76. At that point those that wish to go all out will just need to stop at Mothers Kitchen. Mothers Kitchen is at the top of Palomar Mountain and has excellent food. We will all meet for lunch there and then proceed down the mountain. The faster cars again will be ahead for the descent. We will again form up several miles after coming down the mountain. There are multiple switchbacks on this portion of the road that can be dangerous. Please do not overdrive your abilities. We want everyone to have a great time and return safely that afternoon. I will be taking this route in the near future to look for a great spot for a group photoshoot. Standby for more info on this.

I hope all members are able to attend. Remember to RSVP to the Calendar RSVP , so we can formulate the order of the cars.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:

WickedStangs Mustang Club does not support wreckless driving on public roads. Please be safe, buckle up, and never drink and drive.

Thank You for the continued support,
Wicked Stangs Mustang Club

Anyone plan on pushing there car? These runs can be fun but dangerous. Machman and I did a run from Coalinga and pushed our cars. Some of the flats we where hitting speeds of 130+ then slowing around 90 degree turns to 40ish At one point I came over a hill that 90 right turn and my whole ass end came off ground and dropped over. It was pretty scary. I suggest someone who has ran this go first or scope it out then push on way back or following date. Dont forget about your paint when your racing and cutting corners. When you cross center line you will spry guy behind you with gravel. I think for the guys that dont push or drive aggresive we should make plans to go to a actual road course. Would be alot of fun with no clifs lol

did you see the SUV's on the video? You will be fine just do not overdrive the car. We will get seperated on the twisties. That is why we are going to hot check the route for a place to form back up after the twisties.

I found a place with a photospot overlooking Lake Henshaw.
