I'll be there until the wiring is done. If not, I'll be there on Monday to finish the job. I want that car started by the end of the month.

No plans with the kids for Easter Sunday? You might not get much of a response for Sunday.

Anyone ever get the transmission dipstick or the water lines taken care of? The piping that I had didn't work. I don't think that the dipstick was ever modified or ordered. Then you have the issue of fuel lines since you want to change everything that I already did, so you can run the Y-block. :nonono:

If all of the lines that Emilio said you have are from aircraft they may leak or they may not. The aircraft fitting are a different *flare than the standard -AN fittings for automotive, but what do I know?

The Y-block wil have it's place eventually, but right now it's not needed. I ran a 540HP forced induction car with the exact same set up that I was installing on the race car.

I only bring up these points because you are talking about firing it up. That's not going to happen until these small things are taken care of. Just my $.02

Good luck with the wiring, I hope it was worth the $1000. (I'm not being sarcastic either, lol!)

I must agree, I have not been there for the working parties, BUT.....

There is alot of stuff to do on that car before you take it anywhere for any show or whatever.....Wiring is just 1 thing.

My observation today is this:
-New K member needs installed (When it comes in)
-Engine reinstalled (after K member installed)
-Wiring run
-Conduit for wiring (From Fuse Box to under dash)
-Support for the fuse box needs made
-Brake system installed
-Steering setup installed
-Dents removed from roof
-Engine bay cleaned
-Interior cleaned and detailed
-Rear tires mounted and installed
-Enterior detailed (Ongoing)
-All graphics installed(Ongoing)

I guess Orange had a few things above that need addressed also. Having a timeline of May 2nd to have it at Whipple is a bit aggressive I think. Especially with the Knotts show next weekend. I think maybe the end of May would be a good target date. It is nice to get everyone toigether to work on the car, but we need to have a clear focus each time as to what the end goal is for that working party....today was supposed to be wiring day.

Need to make a list of all items that still need done and dedicate days accordingly to each item. And only when everything needed for that item is readily available.

So many advisiors and so little time. Seems like a lot of work must be completed to get this car ready for anything. I'm glad to hear that your lists are made and you're ready to get to work...LOL! Just laughing because it must be a joke.

Now for the truth of matters:

The Y-Block will require installing when and if the HP requires: Please reference the aeromotive website for specs.
As for the wiring: I'll have that done by the end of the week...to include the mounting stand.
As for the details and cleanliness. The weekend of the 25th is reserved to complete that task.
Oh Yes, the K-member. The engine will not be removed during the K-member install. The engine will be suspended during the swap and the old K-member will do until it arrives. Unless the k-member is part of the fuel, starting, ignition system? NOPE!!

Appreciate the inputs, keep them coming.

CWO, how much did you end up getting done today on the wiring?

When I spoke to Emilio today he said the engine was coming back out for the K member....

Did the hood issue get fixed? The washers work?

Do you need a metal bracket for the CPU? I have one from the EFI setup on the 67....the CPU just clips into it and it is mounted solid. Let me know if you want it.
