Trade your drag radials, smoky burnouts, and Ford Powered Rocket Ships for an Innertube/Sled, snow, and cold mountain weather!

If you are interested in going upto Big Bear to go Snow Tubing or Sledding please say it here. We can set the date later. It will be on a Saturday in January. If we have enough that would for sure go, we can get a group rate and lower the prices.

Below are the links to the places that we could use up there.

Snow Valley Sled Riding(Scroll down to the Snow Play section for pricing):
http://www.snow-valley.com/tickets_rentals/tickets.html

Snow Valley Group Pricing(Again Scroll down to the Snow Play Group Pricing):

Big Bear Snow Play(located in Big Bear):
$25.00 per person
minimum age is 2 years old
Ages 2-6 ride free with paying adult 16 and up(Ride on the same tube)
Unlimited rides

I figure it is 2.5 hours up there, so we could leave at about 8 and get there in time for lunch and then spend the afternoon riding the slopes and even have some races between members.

This is in a mountain region and the weather doesnt always do what the weather report says. I went up last weekend to go but got there and it was 35 degrees and raining. The kids were not dressed for the rain so we did not do it. Just a reminder that if you go, make sure you dress appropriately. When the kids get cold, the day is done! Another thing is chains. If you decide to go, make sure you have chains with you that fit your vehicle. You may need them and they are cheaper here than up there. I didnt need them in the 2wd SS but others were chaining up their cars.

If there is enough interest in this I will setup all the info for it.

In your reply, make sure you put what saturday you wont be able to do it. Also, please add how many people would be attending with you. Yes I know Barona is the 25th(Sunday).

Thanks in advance.

I'm totally in. Could I get a ride with someone? I don't have chains for my escort or capri. I'll pay for some gas too if I can ride with someone.

Good deal. Xodous, chains can be bought for less than 20.....especially for a small car like those. But I annotated at the top that you would need a ride and would chip in for gas.

Alright, I thought they were more. Maybe I'll look and see how much they are, I was expecting like 80 or 90 bucks for a set.

Thanks gibs.

I dont know if these will fit your ride or not but the price is right....

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/for/972077666.html

Anyway, if you check websites, they will show the expensive ones. WalMart carrys them and so do like Autozone and Pepboys. They should have some low end models for you.

I had some with me but did not need them. Problem is that at times unless you have a 4WD it is mandatory to have them on....and at times even 4WD's have to have them on too.

Hey all, remember, tire "chains" sometimes have a bit of slack at the ends and can slap underneath your wheel wells or hit a brakeline. Tire "cables" have been better for me in the past.

And yes, even with 4WD you might be required to "chain up". I have a lifted 4x4 F150 with All Terrain 35's and was forced to put them on in Gorman. It depends on the severity of the snowfall and slush conditions.
