Be careful!
Depending on how quick you're gonna push the car, you flex plate will have to be SFI.

Good find. Wonder if that manual valve body Bobby has would work for you temp till you get a trans brake. Hope this will improve your time. Good luck on the swap.

yeah i was trying to get him to keep it and lower the price but he said he didn't have any use for it so i took it, Hey seeing how you are on here i have been looking at this Tbrake and overhaul kit from PA transmissions: http://www.performanceautomatic.com/valvebodies_aodefullman.htm
how will the driveability be affected with this type of VB and can i get an after market shift like a B and M brand that they use in drag cars? And as far as the overhaul kit will the "race overhaul kit' help the tranny's strength? Im sure i will be just a touch over 500 ftlbs of TQ but i want it to be as reliable as possible and have more room for growth(ie T trim or turbo down the road)http://www.performanceautomatic.com/performkits.htm

Driveability is subjective, but personally I like the firmness of the shifts. With the race kit and the valvebody, you'd be well on the way to a durable tranny. Two other mods that are needed a good built converter and tailshaft oiling modification.
You've prolly seen me recommend the B&M Hammer for a shifter. I also used a F250 Superduty tranny cooler in my old C-4 combo and I'll be using it on my new one also.
