I think he masked off the rest of the hood to concentrate the repair in that area, later he may sand the rest down when it's ready to spray. That will require new stripes though

He did mine the same way when doing the initial repair portion......

Then they did the rest of the panel later.

I went and looked at my car today. The fender is painted, the bottom side of the hood is painted. Today the top side of hood is getting painted. My bumper will be in today or tomorrow. I am expected to get my car back on saturday. I can't wait.. Also I have pics I will post up later of my car and cheetah's..
