hey, just looking for some insight. i got a set of 4.10's in my fox body and i like them. however i think i have too much tq for the gears and i cant hook up. i have a set of new 3.73's in the garage. should i

a: switch the rear end to 3.73's

b: upgrade the suspension and traction while retaining the 4.10's

any insight from experianced persons would be helpful

If you have a manual trans stay 4:10's and learn how to drive...if its a auto go 3:73's

Good idea... No really what do you have down to it to have traction problems?? (engine, trans... etc) are you getting really bad wheel hop?? are the quad shocks any good? thats if your stock, if your modded that really dont matter anymore...

no, my whole suspension is aftermarket and set up for drag, and i have no wheelhop what so ever, just a bunch of spinning. i am wondering if i get a limited slip rear end if that would help...not too sure if i was spinning one wheel or 2.

i was about to say, i dont really know of any solid rears that hop, but on the spinning part, thats what happens at qualcomm, just drop your psi or get slicks and drop the psi in those. everyone spins at qualcomm, thats why the pos imports do soo well there, they dont have the power to spin there(except for the sti and evos, which never spin)

I have seen about a half a dozen foxes with wheel hop.... I will try to find the video of the most resent one...

My '06 and Phill's hopped like friggin' bunnies until we changed the control arms and bushings. Mine would do it on dry and sticky pavement, but only once in a while. After I lowered it, though, it hasn't hopped since.

the stock diff should be changed if you did gears and axles...but now you have to buy new axles agian for the 31 spline diff! if you dont have aftermarket upper and lower control arms get them... there cheap and work great...stang suspension sells a good set that help phil out alot!
