Wow I was wondering what the hell was going on. I was like the pilot bearing is in the Crankshaft! Anyway good call on the TOB. I didn't think of that one. I think they were aluminum in the foxes and 94-95 changed to steel ones. The steel is the way to go.

Beejay I have a whole T-5 for $300 with a steel TOB.

If it's in good shape Beej, might not be a bad deal for you. Even if it works as a temp while you rebuild your other tranny.

just an idea but a quick trip to the junkyard might fix your rearend problem for the time being, i went and got two axles from there just last week and fixed my buddys 90 fox. i can help if you need it.

i wish it were that easy. i love junk yards. the problem is the bracket that the control arm mounts to. the one thats welded into the body. that weld is torn up and ripped

i can weld i just dont have access to a welder, you could just swap out the whole rearend, just need a 8.8 rear housing and just swap everything over. back on the road in a day.

the axle and rear end are fine. its body thats messed up. i got a buddy that has put some cars together who is really good at welding. we are gonna just rip it the rest of the way out, and put it in stronger

I'm actually gonna go to the junkyard this weekend to try and find an sn95 rear end with disc brakes to throw on the fox. Then I'll be selling this rearend, which is 5lug, but has drum brakes. Also has 3.73's with less than 2000miles if anyone is interested.
