im thinking of joinig the navy or army

so i started college and i don't like it, should i stick with my major and become an auto technician my "love"
or join the army or navy; u guys tell me because im thinking if i join the army i can shoot some bad guys lol and get more money for my stang or get a cobra

Dude, I hope you are kidding for the reason you want to go in the military.

Why don't you see if you can get into an ROTC while in college. At least get them to pay part of your college and get an idea what the military is like. I think in ROTC, if you decide military is not for you, you can leave and repay what tuition (if any) they gave you. If you enlist, you will have to do your commit and after a year or two and decide not like it, you have to complete it. But if you do decide to go, take a practice ASVAB test and see what you score and what job you qualify for. See if your score would qualify you for a job in auto mechanic or something that interest you. But make sure you join for the right reason and not for what you wrote above.

WOW, what a reason for joining the military!!! Now for some advice from an old guy with 25 years of service.

1) Stay in school and get your degree. Take out tons of loans and get the best schooling you can get on credit.

2) In you senior year, see a military recruiter and they will pay off all your loans (up to 80K). In addition, for six years of service, you'll get a cash bonus.

3) If you enjoy the your work in the military, you can retire after 20 years and collect around 40K for the rest of your life. If not, you'll be sought after by all the major companies in the world.

4) Recommend if you join the Navy, get a major that keeps you off ships.

Doctor
Lawyer
Civil Engineer
Heavy Equipment Engineer
Psychology

I'm certain there are many other choices, just make certain you find a specialty that keeps you off of big dark grey ship's.

lol.....if thats how you think it really is...then go for it. my best advice is to finish school. get a degree, and if you still want to serve, be an officer and go to OCS. think of it this way. a capt (0-3) with 3 years in makes more than a sgtmaj (e-9) with 20 years in

Stay in school and get your degree. That gives you options. Enlisted or OCS and career in military or civilian world. Always give yourself options.

and in the military, unless your a ground pounder/knuckle dragger you wont get to shoot things....****, be and occifer in the AF and fly bad ass planes and stay in 5 star hotels...

I have shot a Tomahawk in 98 at Iraq.....I think mine is the one that hit next to a Mosque in Iran though.......LOL I didnt sight it in....LOL

And have the BEST chow in the military, well, except for sub duty maybe.
