Well as Emilio has told members over and over DONT FEAR THE GEAR! My car is a stick I wish I would have went with 4:56 but now that depends on the future. Right now I have 4:10's and I love them. If I where you and your buying gears. Go to the forum here and click on wickedstangs performance shop. Tell Emilio you want Ford racing 4:10 gear set and get it over with.... Do you plan on doing some high speed road course or something?

That is why I would go at least 4:10 I cruise at 80 al the time. It will bring your RPM's up from the stock 3:55 to 4:10 only 400 RPM

he is going from stock 3:31's... put it this way your car stock with the gears you have can probably go 190 but the power isnt there... so once you do say a 4:10... you will be able to go say 170 if the power is there.... you wont loss any top end speed... if any you will gain what the car can do with the stock power! you could go to say a 4:56 and still have a top speed of 160 Plus

i just looked up a gear calculator on google... with your say .71 OD. probably not exact but close on the od GEAR..

AT 6000rpm WITH 4.10 GEARS AND A 245/45R17 tire you would begoing 157MPH

now i believe you can rev to 6900! if im correct that gives you a top speed of 181MPH... when are you ever going to go that fast LOL!
