PM for Decals
OK, they may not be a "Mustang" shop but they definately are reputable.
I just wanted to publicly say how impressed I am with the quality of my new Trufiber hood. I know some of you have them you must be equally pleased.
I ordered my 2005+ Heat Extractor hood throught the WS performance parts shop with Emilio's help.
Upon arrival, I inspected the box, removed the hood and gave it the once over and all looked OK. So far, so good. But then again, it isn't saying a whole lot for Trufiber if the shipping company can get an item from point A to point B. It's what's INSIDE the box that I'm writing about here.
Since I had had recent knee surgery, I couldn't do much as far as dragging that box around, lifting the hood or putting it on my car but helpful friends came over and helped. Putting the hood on and installing the four hinge bolts took less the five minutes but the fit right out of the box surprised us all.
There is no slack, no room for play, no wiggle room when it comes to the hinge bolts and where they tighten up. Where the go is where they go and you get what you get when you snug them up. All you can do is HOPE for tolerable alignment. This hood is perfect! It's amazing. From the hinges to the headlight, the gap between the hood and fender are consistent all the way down on both sides. And with a minor adjustment to the height bumpers abover the headlights, the hood is flush with both fenders.
All this tells me the R&D at Trufiber is meticulous about fit. And the manufacturing facilities overseas are obviously as conscientious about the finish and structural integrity. Obviously quality control plays a major part in the product Trufiber creates.
I tip my hat to Trufiber! This is the first item I have bought from them and I have to say, I'm impressed right from the start!
