Valid arguement, but you are taking on someone elses project buying a built car. Cobra would be more comfortable, be STREET LEGAL, and in my opinion is one of the best looking mustangs ever produced. I do love my foxes, but i want to pick up a white 03 Cobra.
don't get me wrong i would love to have a 03-04 cobra myself, i am arguing the statement that a termi is the best bang for the buck option.
i have seen that 93 cobra in person and seen it run at sac raceway, its a beautiful car and very well built, if i had $13,000 i would be all over it, stock 93's go for almost as much.
what i was getting at is the platform is already there. the amount of money you put in a cobra nd the performance gains you get out of it is unheard of. and you still got ac, power brakes, steering, micro suede seats and hit the 1/4 mile in 12.8 stock and the 1/8th at 8.1 full weight. then leave the track and go hit up the twisties. best all around bang for the buck.
ya sorry about that, anyways back on topic, what are you looking to do with the car? just a fun street car? street/strip? autox/track days? any horsepower goals? are you wanting to dig in with a hci swap? or just looking for the easy bolt on stuff for now?
Heads, cam, and intake with a full exhaust and 4.10s would be the way to go then.
If thats all the power you plan on making, Trickflow sells a complete heads, cam, and intake combo that consistently makes 300hp on a bolt on car. No mix matching parts or wondering if this cam goes with the heads you bought. Takes the guesswork out of it. I would look into that. And just talk to Todd (CWO) about gears, hopefully we can get another WS big install day between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
