Yea really... but anyways i think Venom needs to pick a date... this is his Event!!.. all us down here in the CV are use to the heat and going to be here no matter what.. and i'm all for the San Diego RACE Car getting a sponsor from Whipple... But that is not what this EVENT was first intended for.... it was just something for all us CV guys to do something as a group... And I'm all for seeing this race car but... im sorry i really dont think that should be the main priority.. We need to find a good time for venom to set up is event

No matter what month, week or day is picked, there will be someone that can't go. Just like the last date, I'm sure there were many that weren't going to be able to attend.

I'm sorry if you feel me says something shows you some true color... But when you guys take an event out for under a man that has been working on it for over a year just for San Diego's benefit... sorry... im going to speak up... if that makes you guys think im an ass or a horrible person... tuff ****.. im going to say it anyway... read the first two pages... all it is, is crying about the race car not being able to make CV event if its the last two week ends of June, and oh thats going to be too hot..
this started as an event for a bunch of car guys wanting to hang out and have some fun seeing whipples building.. now its SPONSOR SPONSOR and that's all that matters to you guys..

Have a nice day everyone. Hope the Whipple thing works out. Venom and Foxman, I have nothing but love here in the land of OZ.
I think this has gotten way out of hand. Let's all swallow some pride and just move on. Is whipple so damned busy that they could not do two cruises. Let them do theirs when it is feasable and we will do ours when we can. I dont think anyone here was trying to barge in and take anything from anyone. We are still one club with different branches......lets just keep the branches on the same team!!!!!!!!

I'm sure Venom will come through with a good date for this thang. I hope I can go (whatever the date), but if I can't so be it. Our group is so diverse, we can never be on the same shedule.... I truly thank anyone who takes the time to set up these events, this is what keeps our club great.

Nobody is trying to take anything away from Venom. Just in case you (Foxman) didn't notice, it was Superstang21 that started this thread about a reschedule. Nobody here in San Diego did anything to "take an event out for under a man that has been working on it for over a year just for San Diego's benefit" as you so wrote. The original event was planned with Venom and Superstang and all agree to have the racecar there.
Foxman, if you believe getting sponsorship is for the sole purpose of the the racecar, you are very wrong. Sponsorship means support for the website. That means possible money from sponsors to keep it running, price breaks for the members (talk to SuperStang), and other benefits. Yes, it will possibly garner some benefits to the racecar, but the members will benefit from this also

whipple themselves have put a lil' bit of a bad taste in my mouth. i guess you could say it started with them canceling the show / tour... went on to them NOT giving joe EVERYTHING he needed for his blower install.
i personally had to drive up to whipple to get the missing bag of bolts, and even then... their attitude seemed "off"... i mean, when i got there, there was no hello... no apologies for not giving all the necessary parts to someone who just shelled out x grand on your product... just a "here's the bag" then back to answering the phones. i even gave them a list of EVERYTHING we were missing and took their word that everything we were missing was in the bag. what happened when i got back to joes? yup, **** still missing. in fact, renegade and myself had to go to home depot to buy some of the bolts still missing.
so much for whipple "taking care of us", as joe told me they would. twice whipple dropped the ball on me already.
whatever date is decided, i'll most likely go... mostly to hang out with you guys. but i have my reservations about whipple now.

Jay sh*t happens, as a fabricator and a distributor i know that you cant get everything right every time, i've shipped out products to people that weren't right but it didn't destroy the business relationship, and idk how you felt but i didnt feel an off attitude, it was a busy office, not a lot of time for hellos, and one of the guys did apologize, and also the bag had the exact amount that we had had on the list, so we screwed up somewhere, cuz the reason i had to go to Home Depot was for throttle body bolts and nuts that we lost.
but any way this thread is way off, it was started so we can re schedule the event! so in my opinion anything that isnt about rescheduling the event, i.e. blame, bickering, he said she said B.S. opinions about whipple, should be kept off this thread!

for the record, you were NOT there when i handed joe and andy that bag whipple gave us and i was told everything still wasn't there. how again do you know everything was in the bag?
as for scheduling, any date is fine... just let me know in advance. and i'll be going for the club... not for a sponsorship... not for a discount... but for this club and its members.
