Ethan, what is the difference in the block between that and a 302?

Other than being bored .030" over there is no difference in the block. The difference comes in the stroke of the crank. Stock302ci = 3.00" stroke 347ci = 3.40" stroke.

Thanks Bobby. That is what I thought, but wasnt sure.....so he has a 302 block .030 over and a 347 crank and rods right?

I am thinking of just staying with the 302 and was thinking of the possibilities.......

Bobby, I thought a 289 had the 2.75x4.00 and a 302 was 3.00x4.00?

I would actually like to see Ethan do it himself.....with the help of someone who knows how. It is a great opportunity for him to learn and when your building your own engine it makes ya respect it more. If things dont seem right it makes ya fix it before ruining it. Plus I think HE can!!!!!!!!
