although i dont agree with most of obamas policies, and i am extremely against this new stimulois, and all the money hes "giving away" for no purpose....obama is pro military and supports the all of us currently serving. just because he was against the iraq war, like most americans, he isnt against the military

President Obama will not advance a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs for the treatment of troops injured in service.
President Obama, after an uproar by veterans groups, has scrapped a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs for the treatment of troops injured in service.
"In considering the third-party billing issue, the administration was seeking to maximize the resources available for veterans," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Wednesday in a written statement. "However, the president listened to concerns raised by the [veteran service organizations] that this might, under certain circumstances, affect veterans' and their families' ability to access health care.
"Therefore, the president has instructed that its consideration be dropped," Gibbs said.
Obama met with 11 veterans service organizations on Monday and explained his plan to increase funding for Veterans Affairs by $25 billion over five years and bring more than 500,000 eligible veterans of modest income into the VA health care system by 2013.
But the American Legion, the nation's largest veterans group, said the president's plan would have increased premiums, made insurance unaffordable for veterans and imposed a massive hardship on military families. It could have also prevented small businesses from hiring veterans who have large health care needs, the group said.
The American Legion applauded Obama's decision to drop the plan on Wednesday.
"We are glad that President Obama listened to the strong objections raised by The American Legion and veterans everywhere about this unfair plan," Cmdr. David K. Rehbein of the American Legion said. "We thank the administration for its proposed increase in the VA budget and we are always available to assist by providing guidance to ensure a veterans health are system that is worthy of the heroes that use it."
The American Legion wants the existing system to remain in place. Service-related injuries currently are treated and paid for by the government. The American Legion has proposed that Medicare reimburse the VA for the treatment of veterans.

Sorry your not happy with your choice, I can understand why. I'm thrilled a black person was elected because it does mean we have come along ways from our past. However, that doesn't mean he is the rite person for the job. Stating the he has as much experience as Paulin is a huge error. She has had 1000 times more experience than he has one being executive power which he never had. He hasn't done anything, ever and his record stands behind that. Did you know what he voted on, against..didnt show to vote on before you voted? He won for several reason, 99% of the black people voted for him, 50% of the white people voted for him, Bush wasnt in good standing with alot of people. What I hate is asking people WHY they voted for him, because NEVER have I gotten a good answer. Mostly..."because he is my dog" which to me says.."because he is black". I also was not happy with McCain and find it hard to believe he was the best the republicans had to offer. It's a shame that you dont have to take a politcal test in order to be able to vote..because in my opinion... Obama wouldn't be president if they did. I pray...the voters of this country see the error of their ways in how they voted as have you. I would take a corrupt politician such as Hitlary before some in my opinion is set out to destroy our country and all it stands for. But when the people of this country start depending on the government in a socialistic way it will be hard to turn around. This country needs tuff love and the first priority should be to help people help themselves and not make people dependent on the government for future election.-Shane

im sorry, but thats the most rascist **** ive ever heard. we dont elect the blackest candidate we elect the best. its reasons like that we elected probably the biggest liar to sit in office. ive tried hard to stay away from this topic because i hate having intelligent conversation so often with unintelligent people. the only historic thing about his election is that rascism has never been stronger. i listen to what he had to say and i compared to his record and with little to no effort called him on his lies. now just a few months in, holy crap, he was full of it. stop the press.
john mccain the best to offer? he has more time in a vietnam pow camp than obama had in office. who would you rather have at the helm? yeah he was watered down and soft, he had to play the game to try and match the class warfare and race card being played by the dems. you know what else was great? the stuff mccain promised, reflected his past decisions and his record to date. instead of obama who was a one trick pony that promised new tricks if elected, and you all got hustled. ends up obama isnt going to pay your mortgage, put gas in your car, and food on your table. sarah palin has run a state, thats more than obama can say. hell even now.
