I decided to just make this 1 thread instead of multiple threads stating what I am doing. Alot of work today, but not a whole bunch of progress. The day started out good. I swapped my rear springs in about a half hour. The adjustable ride height lowers that I have make it very easy to change springs.
After that I decided to try and swap out my diff for the spool. I thought that I would get lucky and it would drop right in within tolerance, but of course no horse shoes in my butt! After getting the spool fitted in I only had .003 of backlash. Too tight and the gears would probably whine. It should be between .008-.0015. It was .0012 before I took the stocker out. I should be recieving my shim kit in the mail tomorrow, so we'll see.
Since I had to leave that job undone (that's 2 now! Battery and spool) I decided to take out the roll-bar and throw it in the expedition to take to get welded and painted tomorrow.
Did some other misc stuff, but that was the bulk of it. I am at 27 days to get this thing done.........to be continued tomorrow
