I decided to just make this 1 thread instead of multiple threads stating what I am doing. Alot of work today, but not a whole bunch of progress. The day started out good. I swapped my rear springs in about a half hour. The adjustable ride height lowers that I have make it very easy to change springs.

After that I decided to try and swap out my diff for the spool. I thought that I would get lucky and it would drop right in within tolerance, but of course no horse shoes in my butt! After getting the spool fitted in I only had .003 of backlash. Too tight and the gears would probably whine. It should be between .008-.0015. It was .0012 before I took the stocker out. I should be recieving my shim kit in the mail tomorrow, so we'll see.

Since I had to leave that job undone (that's 2 now! Battery and spool) I decided to take out the roll-bar and throw it in the expedition to take to get welded and painted tomorrow.

Did some other misc stuff, but that was the bulk of it. I am at 27 days to get this thing done.........to be continued tomorrow

Orange, I think you are getting more done than you realize. It always appear slower to the one doing the job. To an outsider, I think you are making wonderful progress.

Are you trying to get it done before Wicked Stangs versus the world?

Yeah. Most of the hard stuff is almost out of the way. I dropped off the roll-bar at work this morning and it's already welded and in for prime and paint. Once I get it re-installed I'll be able to put the inside of the car back together. I bought 25ft of welding cable this morning so I should be able to finish the battery wiring today.

Well guys not too bad. Dropped it off at work on Monday and got it back today and installed it. I did end up having to modify a couple things, but nothing major. The hardest part was installing the plastic panels in the rear quarters. After that went in everything else was a piece of cake.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking at getting a roll-bar. Here are the pics. I was able to start putting my interior back together which was also nice.

Well guys I planned on giving you a step by step on how to install C-clip eliminator axles and I did take pics throughout the day, but I goofed and forgot to put the memory card back into the camera last night!

Sorry I don't have any pics for ya. I only did one side today so I can take pics of the other side tomorrow. It was a pain in the ass to get the first one in, so hopefully it doesn't leak. It was a bear taking out the axles bearings from the rear end housing! I had to go rent a slide hammer from Kragen and it still took me like 2 hours to get both sides out!

I should be able to button up the entire rear end tomorrow. It should be about bullet proof. Strange 31 spline axles with c-clip eliminators and 3" studs, Strange Gun drilled race spool, and TFS rear end girdle.

After that I can concentrate on putting the engine back in and getting all of my interior squared away. That includes fabbing up a rear seat delete kit.

I will add pics tomorrow. To be continued.....................

Well I got a late start today and needless to say I am totally drained at this point. I have been working on this car for about 7 days straight.

Anyway, I finished up the rear end this morning. I put in the drivers side axle and bolted up the rear end cover. I didn't want to put the rear wheels on until I bleed the brakes. It's easier to get to the bleeder with them off. I will fill the rear end with some royal purple tomorrow. I wanted to let the rtv dry before adding fluid.

cwo inspired me with his safety loop thread, so I decided to throw mine in today as well. Hopefully my exhaust clears it. I'm pretty sure that it will.

I just about finished putting the interior back together and got my seat bracket painted and bolted in the seat.

I'm hoping to get the engine dropped in this weekend, but we'll see..........

There is alot more work than it looks like. When I say I bolted something in there were 20 different things I had to do before I actually bolted it in!! I am truly worn out and may take tomorrow off from working on the car. Thanks for the motivation though, I appreciate it.

Coming together nicely. Just remember, we are here to assist and keep you going. Next time I'll bring the coveralls and help turn wrenches. I may be an old guy, but I take direction well. Having one extra helping hand can really speed things up.

Thanks guys. I may take you up on that offer next weekend. I have decided to wait until next weekend to put the engine in because there are some holes in the engine bay that I want to patch up with some sheet metal first.

I did make some progress today. I filled the diff with royal purple, put all of the intrerior together and got my corbeau 5 point harness installed. (Thanks again VP)
