The first time I hit my limiter, it took awhile for it to recover.....like it completely shut down......
FS if you were at about 150 then your limiter may be different than mine. Ford may have changed it....Then again maybe I hit my rev limiter at the same spot that I thought I was hitting the speed limiter.....HMMMMMMM Maybe I didnt top it out......Was right at 150 when it happened, so I assumed it was the speed limiter. Maybe it wasnt but actually the rev limiter. Wow I feel stupid if so.

DIED!!!!
I tried to restart while coasting. Then I realized it was in DRIVE. I shifted to nuetral at about 100, turned the key and it started. But I waited until I was at about 70 before I put it back in drive.....CAREFULLY!
Haven't been that fast since. It was on the Grapevine going to San Fran. (Vineyards near Livermore)

I read it somewhere else in a book that it was 149 too. Some people have gone over 150.......they were probably tuned though and changed it.

yeah, and of youtube i saw one do 162. who knows. maybe every single one is different. or the speedo is off. who knows
